Elijah Moore takes dig at Zach Wilson after leaving Jets to team up with Deshaun Watson

The Cleveland Browns strengthened their receiving corps with the addition of Elijah Moore. They landed the wide receiver and a third-round pick from the New York Jets in exchange for a second-round pick.

Playing alongside Deshaun Watson would provide stability to Moore, who played with many different quarterbacks in his two seasons with the Jets.

In the aftermath of the trade, the wide receiver spoke with Daryl Ruiter of 923TheFan.com about teaming up with Watson:

"[Deshaun Watson] is a legit quarterback. He’s someone who has been doing amazing things around the league. He has respect from everybody around the league. They talk really highly about him here and they believe in him, and man, with him being my quarterback, I believe in him too."

He added:

"When someone's as mobile as him and people fear his legs as well, it just adds another element just to the whole game. And you’ve been seeing that with what he does already. The games that he’s already played in.
"So I’m just super excited to be part of someone that can run, throw, do pretty much everything."

Elijah Moore also couldn't resist speaking about the Jets' quarterback carousel over the past two seasons.

New York has fielded four different starting quarterbacks in the last two years, hampering Moore's progress. Speaking about his time with the Jets, the wide receiver said:

"Going through four quarterbacks I feel like was just a huge blessing for me because I got to see what that’s like, and now with being with someone like Deshaun, it’ll just make life way easier."

Elijah Moore certainly did not enjoy his time with Wilson and the Jets. He will look to revive his career with Watson and the Browns.
