Emmanuel Acho bashes Matt LaFleur for undermining Packers QB Jordan Love - “Can't believe he said it”

Jordan Love is set to be the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers next season. Aaron Rodgers is extremely close to getting traded to the New York Jets, which will finally allow the young quarterback to lead the franchise.

Despite the Packers having faith in Love to lead them next season, head coach Matt LaFleur doesn't have high expectations for him. LaFleur recently spoke about his new quarterback and claimed that people should not expect Love to perform like Aaron Rodgers straightaway, and everything will take time.

LaFleur's comments didn't impress Emmanuel Acho, who immediately lashed out at the Packers' head coach. He believes that LaFleur is undermining Love and that is not a good thing to do. Here's what Acho said on Speak:

"Every time I hear it, I can't believe that is the worst display of coaching I have maybe ever seen. And that's not hyperbole. A coach is not only meant to be a teacher, but more than anything, a coach is meant to be a motivator. If a coach doesn't believe in you, then who in God's name will?
"So, if Matt LaFleur is going to put a ceiling on the growth and development of Jordan Love, then how in the world is Jordan Love ever gonna grow and develop? Why did he put a ceiling on it? I truly can't believe it happened. I can't believe he said it."

Acho even brought up the example of Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, who last year didn't stop praising Tua Tagovailoa. McDaniel even created a tape to show Tagovailoa that he is a special player.

The transition from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love is going to be tricky for both the Green Bay Packers and Matt LaFleur, and it will be interesting to see how things pan out.

Jordan Love has big shoes to fill in Green Bay

So far in his NFL career, Love hasn't had enough opportunities to showcase his talent. His only start came in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs a few seasons ago, but he did impress during his short appearance in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles last season.

The Packers have full faith in Love to carry the franchise, but filling Rodgers' shoes is going to be very tough. Packers fans are accustomed to seeing a great quarterback lead their franchise, which is why the former first-round pick will be under a lot of pressure next season.

In 2021, I took this video of Jordan Love strolling into training camp when a #Packers fan yelled: “You’re gonna have to wait a few more years, bud.”

Got a chuckle out of Love.

It’s 2023 & Jordan Love is now set to be QB1 of the #Packers. It’s time.
