Emmanuel Acho blasts Jets QB after SNF loss to Steelers: “Aaron Rodgers has been an undeniable failure"

Through the first seven games of the 2024 NFL season, Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets have a disappointing 2-5 record. They suffered their fourth straight loss of the season after falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers 37-15 on Sunday.

The Jets made many moves to improve their roster this offseason, while also getting Rodgers back from his torn Achilles that left him sidelined all of last season.

The Jets signed offensive linemen Tyron Smith and John Simpson while acquiring Morgan Moses. They also added wide receiver Mike Williams in free agency and acquired edge rusher Haason Reddick from the Philadelphia Eagles via trade.

Following the Jets' 2-5 start, former NFL linebacker and sports analyst Emmanuel Acho said that Rodgers has been an "undeniable failure" with the Jets so far.

"He's a failure, an undeniable failure," Acho said via The Facility. "Y'all got kids. Y'all know when y'all kids hand y'all the report cards at home during the halfway trimester, and they say, Hey, Dad, I went two of five through the first seven. I only got two, right?
"You know what that is. F is a failure, not passing. The NFL is a pass fail league, Aaron Rodgers is failing. That is an objective fact."

The Jets started the season with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers but then won two straight to improve to 2-1. Their wins came against two of the worst teams in the league (the Tennessee Titans and the New England Patriots).

Last night, in the Jets' 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, they gained an early 15-6 lead in the second quarter before giving up 31 unanswered points.

A late first-half touchdown by the Steelers that was set up by an interception by Rodgers proved to be the turning point, as the Steelers cut the Jets' lead to two.

Following the loss, Aaron Rodgers said the Jets were flat all night, before the game and at halftime.

"It felt like the energy and it starts with me the energy, for whatever reason at halftime, was a little flat," Rodgers said. "It felt like it was flat before the game too. So I look at myself and what I can do to bring better energy, but we all have to do better."

The Jets will have a good opportunity to get back in the win column next weekend as they face the 1-6 New England Patriots.
