ESPN insider accuses Giants of running strong ‘s**k for Shedeur Sanders’ campaign for 2025 NFL Draft

ESPN NFL insider Rich Cimini believes the New York Giants are targeting Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Giants currently holds the second overall pick.

The Giants released Daniel Jones, signaling the team may draft a quarterback in April. Cimini also claims the Giants are running "S*ck for Sanders" campaign in hopes they can select the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback.

Sanders is ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr.'s top-ranked quarterback heading into the 2025 NFL draft. With Trevor Lawrence at quarterback, the Jacksonville Jaguars will not draft a quarterback with their first overall pick, allowing Sanders to be selected second overall unless Jacksonville trades the pick.

Kiper Jr. also claimed Sanders reminds him of Joe Burrow and Jared Goff.

"I will say Shedeur will remind people a little bit of Joe Burrow, little of Jared Goff, little Tom Brady," Kiper said, via Bleacher Report. "And I say that with Brady coming out of Michigan, not what he became, the greatest of all-time, but coming out.
"What did you see? Pocket awareness, okay. Pocket instincts. Accuracy throwing the ball. Incredible toughness, taking so many hits at Colorado it's amazing he's still standing today."

This season with the Buffaloes, Sanders has thrown for 3,488 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.

The New York Giants are projected to have the second overall pick and in Sportskeeda's NFL Mock Draft Simulator, the Giants take Shedeur Sanders second overall.

Along with Sanders, the Giants use their second pick to select Isaiah Bond out of Texas to give Sanders another weapon.

The Giants need to revamp their offense, and the draft is the best way to do it. In the tool, New York also adds tight end Terrance Ferguson, and running back Kyle Monangai to bolster its offense.

New York is 2-9 and will return to the field on Thanksgiving on the road against the Dallas Cowboys.
