Ex-Eagles DE fired up to show D.J. Moore ‘the f—king door’ after Bears WR’s Week 9 controversy

Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long took aim at Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore on Nov. 6 episode of "Green Light with Chris Long." Moore was involved in controversy during the Bears' loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

In the first quarter of the game, Moore walked off the field during the play, which confused many. The wide receiver has never explained why and after the play, Long thinks the Bears need to get rid of Moore this offseason.

“If D.J. Moore doesn’t want to be there and he doesn’t like the quarterback, who’s going first? I felt like maybe D.J. Moore was pro-Fields, reading between the lines last year," Long said. "Then here’s the f—king door, dude. They’re having trouble getting him the ball anyway.
“The one thing that’s inexcusable is if one of the veterans you brought here, D.J. Moore, doesn’t want to be there, then you as a head coach, as a GM, need to make a decision," Long added.

Moore was vocal in wanting Justin Fields to stay and Chicago to trade the first overall pick. However, the Bears moved Fields and selected Caleb Williams first overall, and Moore hasn't gotten along with him.

This season, Moore has caught just 37 receptions for 374 yards and three touchdowns. He hasn't caught a touchdown pass since he caught two against the Carolina Panthers on October 16.

D.J. Moore was acquired from the Chicago Bears as part of the trade package that sent the first overall pick to Carolina, which they used to select Bryce Young.

Although Moore and Fields played together for just one season, the receiver was very supportive of Fields and told the Bears to remain with him.

"I still don't think they compare to Justin right now," Moore said on NFL Total Access regarding the quarterbacks in the draft, via NFL.com.

Ultimately, the Bears traded Fields to the Steelers and selected Williams first overall.

"The relationship gelled real well from the beginning," Moore said about forming a bond with Fields following a trade from Carolina last offseason." Since I got traded, he was in contact, and we started throwing together, so it made the transition into games and everything easy."

Moore has five years left on his deal, but there is a potential out after the 2026 season.
