Ex-Raider Isaac Rochell's wife Allison Kuch reveals how NFL covered $30,000 delivery costs
How does an NFL player get insured? Allison Kuch, wife of defensive end Isaac Rochell, has an insightful look into that topic.
In a TikTok video that was posted on Monday, she explained how the league covered her health insurance - specifically when it paid $30,000 to cover the cesarean birth of their child:
"Anytime my husband is employed by any NFL team, it restarts his eligibility. Last year, because my husband was employed by the Las Vegas Raiders, he got insurance for the full employment year, which was September 1 to August 31."
But Rochell is currently unsigned, so how do he and his family manage to subsist? Kuch explained:
"Since that is up, we get another five years. Every year my husband gets employed, it restarts another five."
Allison Kuch explains the difficulties behind her TikTok videos
Judging by Allison Kuch's social media presence and activity, one would think she has a rather good life. But behind the smiles for the camera lies a very busy woman whose plans occasionally do not go as she had hoped.
In a recent Instagram story, she said:
"Quick reminder that even though I show us traveling, going to dinner, doing fun things - don't for a second think it doesn't come with difficulties. Never compare your life to mine."
One example was when a dinner date went awry because their daughter Scottie had sleeping problems:
"There's a whole lot I don't show; for example tonight we're hanging out in the hotel room bc (daughter) Scottie boycotted naps all day. Sometimes I get sad that I can't take every single opportunity & that's OKAY."
Kuch has been one of the more vocal NFL wives/girlfriends when it comes to socio-familial issues. She has openly claimed that Isaac Rochell will not be retiring from football, even though as of this writing he has remained unsigned after the Raiders released him in the middle of the 2023-24 season.
She has also shared her thoughts on Harrison Butker's "homemaker" speech at Benedictine College's commencement exercises, saying:
“I have worked my ass off not only to chase my dreams and be successful, but also to make a name for myself so I’m not just somebody’s wife. Don’t get me wrong. I love my husband, I love being his wife. I am just not an NFL wife. ”
Her social media count stands at 3.2M followers on TikTok and 812K on Instagram, among others.
