Travis Kelce says Raiders were ready to 'brawl' during Chiefs' December loss at Arrowhead: “F—king ruined Christmas”

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs walked into Arrowhead Stadium with the intention of clinching the AFC West division title on Christmas Day. A hard-as-nails battle with the Las Vegas Raiders ended up ruining those plans and the Chiefs had to wait until New Year's Eve to get the title.

While the loss to the division rival was tough, it also set the Chiefs on a trajectory to win their second consecutive Super Bowl. Travis Kelce recently reflected on that game while appearing on the "Bussin' with the Boys" podcast. He said the loss ruined the holiday for him and that the bad blood between both teams nearly led to an on-field brawl.

"We got our a** beat by the Raiders on Christmas. F**ing ruined Christmas, motherf*ers. Those dudes were ready to brawl out there on the field. 100% man ... I was like, man if we play with that kind of edge, or that kind of toughness, that kind of like don't f*k with us mentality, we won't be stopped. And it just kind of ended up like that but that Raiders game was definitely a turning point." (44:20)

The Kansas City Chiefs dropped the Christmas Day matchup 20-14 to the Las Vegas Raiders. The team's struggles down the stretch led Kansas City to play two out of three playoff games on the road in their journey to another Super Bowl win.

Travis Kelce revealed why he turned down Netflix's "Receiver"

Last summer Netflix debuted the documentary "Quarterback" which followed four quarterbacks, including Patrick Mahomes through the 2022 NFL season, on and off the field.

This summer, "Receiver" will debut on the streaming service and Travis Kelce revealed on "Bussin' with the Boys" that he was asked to participate. He said that he didn't have any interest in going down the reality television route and that football, his "New Heights" podcast and other ventures have him plenty busy.

“After Pat did it, I did get asked about it. I'm just, I don't know I'd rather just play ball man. I'm already doing enough with the podcast and everything. I'm way over the reality sh**. I’m out.” [1:48:00 – 1:48:27]

While Travis Kelce chose not to star in the series, George Kittle, Justin Jefferson, Deebo Samuel, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Davante Adams will all give fans a glimpse into their 2023 NFL season.
