“Shameless attention seeker”: Fans trash Elon Musk over billionaire’s take on Eagles and Steelers

Elon Musk was spotted at Acrisure Stadium, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers get defeated by the Dallas Cowboys. Steelers fans sure were pleased by the fact that the world's richest man and the owner of one of the world's most influential social media platforms was one of their own.

However, it seems their joy is going to be short-lived. It seems like Elon Musk has dual loyalties, as an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania.

As highlighted by a recent post, he claims to be a supporter of both Pennsylvania NFL teams - the Steelers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Last year, he was seen sitting next to the media mogul Rupert Murdoch, and watching from the stands as the Eagles took on the Chiefs at the Super Bowl.

Both fanbases were outraged to discover that Elon Musk had divided loyalties and called him out on X. One fan called him a shameless attention-seeker, who sided with either team whenever it would draw attention to him.

"when you unironically do this, because you're a moron and shameless attention-seeker"

Another fan called him a liar for claiming to support both teams.

"A Steelers AND Eagles fan? weird and a liar"
"Let him sit in the stands in Philly and see if he makes it out unscathed," one fan said.
"I bet he couldn't even name a player on either team," another fan claimed.
"These guys really are the worst type of people," one fan called Elon Musk out.
"Imagine thinking this dual loyalty is endearing you to voters," another fan said, suggesting that he was trying to curry favor with the swing state of Pennsylvania.

Elon Musk shows his support for the Steelers

The world's richest man wasn't just present there. A video went viral of him doing the famous 'Terrible Towel Twirl' as well from his box. The game had to be delayed because of a thunderstorm warning. Despite that, Musk tried to hype up the Steelers crowd with his moves.

He wasn't the only celebrity present to root for the Steelers. Rapper Snoop Dogg was also present at the stadium and was the special guest chosen to perform the twirl from the gridiron.

However, all the star power failed to help the Steelers win, as they were defeated by the Cowboys 17-20.
