"Forever WRONG!" — Eagles star Darius Slay's wife Jennifer reacts to Angela Carini's 46-second Olympic fight against Imane Khelif

The world has been buzzing since Italian boxer Angela Carini abandoned her fight against Algerian boxer Imane Khelif at the 2024 Olympics. The fight has sparked controversy after it emerged that Khelif's sex doesn't match Carini's.

Celebrities across the globe have come forward to share their reaction, including the reaction of Darius Slay's wife, Jennifer. On Thursday, Jennifer commented on the Carini-Khelif controversy via a post on X/Twitter. Sharing her response, she wrote:

"SICK!!!!!! This will forever be WRONG!!!!!!"

After pulling out of the fight in 46 seconds at North Paris Arena, Carini came forward, revealing the scenes from the ring. Carini stated that her decision to pull out of the flight had everything to do with her health.

Carini said that she hasn't been hit harder than she was by Khelif. The Italian boxer revealed how Khelif's first punch dislodged her chinstrap, and with the second punch, her chin was smashed, and blood started dripping onto her shorts.

"I am heartbroken. I went to the ring to honor my father. I was told a lot of times that I was a warrior but I preferred to stop for my health. I have never felt a punch like this. I got into the ring to fight. I didn't give up, but one punch hurt too much and, so I said enough. I'm going out with my head held high," Carini said.

Jennifer Slay slaps back at criticism for Eagles' low-performance

This isn't the first time that Slay has used her social media to address ongoing controversies. In December last year, when the Eagles had back-to-back losses, fans criticized her husband's bad performance. She decided to give it back.

"Lemme just get this out the way!! IDGAF what you gotta say, but stop acting like I'm on the field. Like…I don't understand. Leave me tf alone. Y'all be weird. I NEVER entertain this BS but enough is enough. Shit," Slay said.

Darius Slay and Jennifer have been together since 2015. After three years of dating, the couple exchanged vows in 2018 and have been married ever since. It was through Instagram that the two met and started to hit off instantly.

The couple are parents to six kids with two boys, Demetrius and Darion, from the NFL star's previous relationship. As for Jennifer, she is also mother to son Trent, from a past relationship. The couple welcomed their youngest daughter Desirae in 2017.
