Former All-Pro believes Texans' Tim Settle flat-out disrespecting Patrick Mahomes ahead of Week 16

The Kansas City Chiefs are in the middle of a hectic schedule that has set them up to play three games in 11 days. That period began on Sunday when they faced the Cleveland Browns and picked up their 13th win of the season. That win, however, came at a price.

Patrick Mahomes limped off the field, leaving Carson Wentz to take care of business in the dying minutes of the game. The three-time Super Bowl champion was later diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, putting his availability against the Houston Texans this Saturday in question.

Defensive tackle Tim Settle said that he wanted Mahomes to make a "good decision" but also said he wasn't lobbing a threat against the league's best quarterback.

Settle's comments did not sit well with two-time NFL All-Pro LeSean McCoy. On the latest episode of FS1's "The Facility," McCoy warned the Texans DT against messing with Mahomes. When asked if the comments were disrespectful towards the Chiefs QB, McCoy said:

“Yes. I know his coach DeMeco Ryans, when he heard this, he said ‘What are you doing?’ The truth is. They don’t want to see Patrick Mahomes. Who does? At his worst, he wins championships. Why do you want to get the best player in the league upset?"

Will Patrick Mahomes play in Week 16 vs the Houston Texans

The Chiefs released their official injury report for Week 16 and Mahomes was a full participant on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the showdown against the Texans. That bodes well for Mahomes' chances against Houston, though he will need to be careful of their pass rush, which is among the best in the league.

In any case, Mahomes will have some more help this week. The Chiefs have officially activated Hollywood Brown for Week 16 which means he will make his comeback from the shoulder injury he suffered in the Chiefs' preseason opener. Kicker Harrison Butker should also be fit in time as the Chiefs look to officially wrap up the No. 1 seed in the NFL Playoff Picture.

The Chiefs will have just three days to recover from Saturday's game against Houston before they hit the road to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.
