OJ Simpson has a simple request for Elon Musk as Tesla CEO completes takeover of Twitter
OJ Simpson has joined the long list of celebrities reacting to Elon Musk becoming the new owner of Twitter. Musk has said that he is now fully committed to improving the social media platform.
He has promised various improvements to Twitter. After a lengthy buying process that involved some legal procedures as well, "the bird is freed," as per Elon Musk.
OJ Simpson, the former Buffalo Bills running back, who is a prominent figure on social media among fans, had a request for the new owner of Twitter.
Simpson is yet to get his account verified on Twitter, and he hopes that Elon Musk won't make him wait much longer.
"Hey, Twitter world it's me, yours truly. Let me start off the day by congratulating Elon Musk [for] taking over Twitter. Maybe, I can get authenticated, maybe I can get a blue check. I've tried for years to get that blue check, because there's so many fake OJ Simpson accounts."
OJ Simpson continued:
"One of them is the real OJ Simpson. And instead of an old a of a zero, in any event, they've been a bunch of them. And from time to time, people would say, 'Why did you say this?' And I say I didn't say it.
"That was one of those fake accounts. And I'm sure a lot of people probably deal with that. So maybe that will come to an end. Maybe that's what we all love to sell to so many fake accounts."
Simpson is fed up with all the fake accounts that are on Twitter that impersonate him, and getting the blue tick will help him and his fans to stay away from a troll-job.
New community guidelines haven't been announced by Elon Musk yet, but it is assumed the social media platform will make some changes. Elon Musk has preached the use of free speech multiple times, so there might be a lessening of some restrictions.
OJ Simpson talked about the struggles of Tom Brady and the Buccaneers
After his simple request to Elon Musk, OJ Simpson spoke about the ongoing struggles of Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs are now 3-5, following their loss to the Ravens.
"Look, Tom Brady's not the coach of this team. Todd Bowles is and Todd Bowles is a gentleman. He is a nice guy. And he's one of the great defensive coaches in football today."
He added:
"All I know is this. When the former head coach, Bruce Arians quit, I didn't hear much complaining. It seemed to be a sigh of relief back there. But right now, it seemed like they can use some of that gruffness."
Brady and the Buccaneers would love to get back to winning ways, but as of now, they aren't looking like a good team. Simpson is probably right, and the team is missing Bruce Arians, which is why it will be interesting to see how Tom Brady reacts to this poor start.
