Former Commanders owner Dan Snyder "f***ing hates" Jayden Daniels taking $6,300,000,000 franchise to NFC championship

Former Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder is having a hard time dealing with the team's recent success.

According to a recent report from ESPN, some within Snyder's inner circle had dinner with the former owner in London, where he now resides with his family after being forced out of the NFL. During the dinner, the inevitable topic of the Washington Commanders' recent success was brought up. A source close to the situation noted that Snyder "f***ing hates it."

That same person also revealed that Snyder feels "sadness" for himself after being forced to sell the team, and remains in "denial" about what led to his ousting. The source added "It's killing him....It's devastating for him."

Snyder was forced to sell the team back in the summer of 2023. Several allegations of sexual harassment and financial misconduct prompted the league to pressure the longtime owner into parting ways with the franchise. When all was said and done, Snyder ended up selling the Commanders to a group led by private equity investor Josh Harris for a staggering price tag of $6.05 billion.

Now, after being built on a completely different foundation with the addition of first-time general manager Adam Peters, new head coach Dan Quinn, and star rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels - the Commanders are flourishing beyond anyone's wildest expectations. Washington is gearing up to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC Championship showdown from Lincoln Financial Field, led by Daniels and his historic rookie season.

Daniels was drafted by the Commanders as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. In his first season in the NFL, Daniels has put up 3,568 passing yards to go along with 25 touchdowns and only nine interceptions. Daniels is also a threat on the ground, having racked up 891 rushing yards and six touchdowns with his legs. All of Daniels' efforts have resulted in an impressive 12-5 record for Washington, and a deep playoff run.

If Daniels is able to shock the world once again this weekend (Sunday, January 26, 2025) in Philadelphia, he'll become the first rookie quarterback in history to start in a Super Bowl. And if Daniels is able to take things a step further, guiding the Commanders to the promised land in his first-ever NFL season, hoisting up the Lombardi Trophy, it will be an even bigger pill for Snyder to swallow. Regardless, one thing is for sure, the Commanders have seen nothing but success since parting ways with the shamed owner.
