Former Saints star wasn't one to shy away from taking a cheap shot at Tom Brady

Tom Brady is seen as the GOAT, and with that comes a certain level of respect. Most players look up to the 45-year-old quarterback and some even shrink in his presence.

But not former New Orleans safety CJ Gardner-Johnson. Last year, Brady was filmed playing golf that saw the seven-time Super Bowl champ nail a hole-in-one. The drone footage was spectacular and while some have claimed it isn't real, others think it is.

But for Gardner-Johnson, he thought the quarterback was doing the video for clout. In a now-deleted tweet, the former Saints safety said as much:

"(Tom Brady) will do anything for clout.”

Take a look at Brady's hole-in-one and decide for yourself:

This is why you film every shot on the course…

The duo has had a rather spicy relationship on the field shall we say. Last year, Gardner-Johnson got in the quarterback's face as he intercepted him late on in the 9-0 win for the Saints.

Luckily for the Buccaneers star, the safety is no longer with the Saints as he was moved to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Saints have been Tom Brady's kryptonite

If there has been one team to trouble the 45-year-old throughout his storied 23-year career in the NFL, it's the New Orleans Saints. For whatever reason, the Saints have his number.

The seven-time Super Bowl champ is 1-4 against Dennis Allen's defense in the regular season. That is not good at all.

In his last two outings, the Buccaneers star has only thrown one touchdown and one interception. He also hasn't surpassed 214 passing yards either.

While with the New England Patriots, the quarterback's record is flipped to 4-1, so for some reason, Tampa Bay can't get past their division rivals.

With the Buccaneers' season teetering somewhat at 5-6, the team will need to start winning and soon. No doubt still reeling from the overtime loss to the Cleveland Browns last Sunday, a win over the Saints on Monday Night Football would go down a treat.

The Saints are coming off a 13-0 loss to the San Francisco 49ers and will want to heap more hurt on their division rivals.

One thing on the Buccaneers' side is that there will be no Gardner-Johnson talking trash to number 12.
