Fred Warner's wife Sydney shares first-hand experience with 49ers community of women
The San Francisco 49ers have a vast WAG squad that often hangs out together during the matches. Joining the crew is Sydney Warner, wife of LB Fred Warner. However, her recent admission revealed that she wasn’t comfortable being in a WAG lifestyle earlier but has slowly adjusted to the role.
Sydney was invited for an interview with Us Weekly magazine via her partnership with The Cocktail Collection.
“You find your footing,” Sydney said, adding, “I think it took me a while to find my niche and where I felt comfortable being a wife, now a mother, a girlfriend at the time. Now I’m Fred’s partner, and we’re a duo. That’s an amazing thing to say.”
Sydney and Fred Warner work well together
The couple met after Sydney had concluded her appearance on the 2020 season of the show "The Bachelor" by Peter Weber. Sydney recalled that Fred initiated the conversation by sending in an emoji, which she felt was cute. A year later, Fred popped the question, and in June 2022, they got married. The couple now has a child named Beau, who was born in March 2024.
Even after a month, Sydney was still in awe of the proposal, and she took to Instagram to express her excitement. She was thrilled to become Fred’s wife and desired to cherish the photos and memories endlessly:
“As a team, we work really well together. It’s just nice being able to be a teammate with him and me finding my footing as well. I think it’s just a timing thing. And it’s all worked out.”
Sydney acknowledges the WAG lifestyle of the San Francisco 49ers
Now, Sydney is used to the WAG lifestyle, and she even acknowledges the women at the 49ers camp.
“It was a lot different back in the beginning, but now there’s this huge community of working women,” Sydney said, adding, “The women are kind of in the spotlight now, which is such a refreshing thing to see. It’s really cool to see how things change.”
She was referring to the other women in the WAG squad who are often spotted together during game days. The squad includes fullback Kyle Juszczyk’s wife, Kristin; TE George Kittle’s wife, Claire; and RB Christian McCaffrey’s wife, Olivia Culpo.
Kristin is a fashion designer who is famous for designing custom-tailored game-day apparel for Taylor Swift. Claire is a style icon on her own and has made an appearance on Netflix alongside her husband. Culpo is a well-known social media influencer with millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram.
