Fresh off FTX scandal, Tom Brady courts controversy with latest post-retirement appearance
Tom Brady and his second retirement seems to be going rather well. After 23 years in the NFL, the quarterback finally called it quits and is now focusing on the next phase of his life.
Not one for controversy, the seven-time Super Bowl champ was caught up in a rather unpleasant moment when FTX crashed. Brady lost a lot of money and he and Gisele Bundchen were defendants in a lawsuit that claimed that a host of celebrites, including Brady "used deceptive practices to push the scheme."
Now, a little more controversy is coming the quarterback's way. The 45-year-old was a guest speaker at the recent Grant Cardone’s 10X Growth Con from February 14 to 16. But why is it surrounded by controversy?
As per nypost.com, there are allegations aimed at Cardone as well as a lawsuit which claims he misled investors. Yikes. Now, these are just allegations and at this stage, but when a celebrity with a big a name like Brady is tied with another, people start talking.
The quarterback spoke on the final day of the three-day event and his involvement has raised eyebrows from people, given the allegations aimed at Cardone.
Brady enjoying retired life
Brady finally retired from the NFL this offseason amid a year that was one of the toughest he has faced. A divorce from Gisele along with poor form and questions aimed at him if he was good enough to still be playing, all led to the decision.
Now, given we have seen this movie before, some questioned the quarterback's decision to retire, thinking he may be making a comeback. But after filing the necessary papers with the NFLPA, he isn't coming back.
Brady can now look forward to a year off, spending more time with his family and simply relaxing. That might seem hard for someone who is so driven to succeed, but he does have his 10-year deal with Fox that commences in 2024 to look forward to.
We imagine this year he will devote his time to develop his craft in the booth so that when he does start with Fox, he can hit the ground running. He just has to avoid what some call controversial figures.
