NFL Annual Meeting 2025 Pushes Flag Football to the Global Stage

The 2025 NFL Annual Meeting has underscored its commitment to promoting flag football, particularly in light of its inclusion in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
This initiative plans to expand the sport's reach to a wider audience and increase the opportunities for female athletes.
The NFL's Executive Vice President Jeff Miller emphasized the league's dedication to flag football, stating,
"Flag football is a high priority of ours. It's an opportunity for young women to participate in our game... there definitely seems to be an appetite and interest in a professional flag league for both men and women."
The upcoming inclusion of flag football in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics represents a pivotal occasion for the sport. BMO Stadium has been designated as the venue for both flag football and lacrosse competitions during the games.
The man's flag football final is scheduled for July 28, followed by the women's final on July 29, strategically planned to avoid conflicts with other major events.
In addition to promoting flag football domestically, the NFL is expanding its Global Markets Program to new territories, including Greece and the United Arab Emirates.
This initiative will allow franchises to establish a presence in the international markets, reflecting the league's strategy to globalize American football.
The NFL Annual Meeting has made every effort to promote flag football nationally as well as internationally. Furthermore, the engagement of athletes in flag football on an international level can be further enhanced by the presence of numerous female sports icons.
