“Get the f—k off Facebook, dad”: Travis Kelce reveals why his father Ed Kelce worries about his relationship with Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce's father Ed Kelce has at different times expressed concern over his relationship with Taylor Swift. It is arguably the most high-profile relationship in a very long time, and certainly the most high-profile current relationship. As such, there's plenty of coverage that Ed Kelce sees, and not all of it is good.
Travis knows his father has concerns, but also understands that the majority of those concerns come from unfounded information from unreliable sources. The Internet is full of those, and Travis wants his dad to ignore it.
Kelce said on the Bussin' with the Boys podcast [55:38 – 55:56]:
"You know what he'll do, he'll see some wild sh*t come across and he’ll be like, ‘Hey, what the f*ck is this? You know it’ll just be something so *f*ing out of the blue, like something about me and Taylor. He’s like, ‘Hey what the… you guys okay?’ ‘Dad get the f*ck off Facebook Dad’. F*ing kidding me, that's his search engine."
Social media is rife with misinformation and gossip. When one of the most famous NFL players is dating the most famous artist, social media tends to fill with those two things. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end's father has almost fallen victim to it.
Travis Kelce talks moment he began falling for Taylor Swift
The first time anyone knew of a Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift relationship was when the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Chicago Bears at the end of September. That was not the beginning of their relationship, but when it was made public.
They would go on to evolve as a couple, with Swift eventually coming to most of his games: including all three playoff games and the Super Bowl. It was at the big game that Kelce realized he'd truly fallen.
"She's very self-aware. And I think that's why I really started to really fall for her, was how genuine she is around friends [and] family. It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention ... and she just keeps it so chill and so cool," Kelce said via People.
Kelce has talked at length about Swift and their relationship, but he has only recently gone into more detail about how he feels and other intimate aspects.
