"Giants are so cooked": NFL fans react as DeMarvion Overshown turns pick six into Cowboys TD
The New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys are playing on the second game of the three-game Thanksgiving slate in Week 13. When these two teams first met in Week 4, Dak Prescott and Daniel Jones were quarterbacks. None of them is playing on Thursday.
With Daniel Jones released by the Giants on Friday, backup quarterback Drew Lock had to start, as Tommy DeVito is also out from the game with an injury. And Lock had a play that he would certainly love to have back.
The quarterback was dropping back to pass and, while pressured by two Cowboys defenders, he tried to throw a check down to running back Devin Singletary. But DeMarvion Overshown made one excellent play, not only tipping the ball to intercept it but also returning and making it a pick-six.
NFL fans were impressed to see Overshown making such a fantastic play:
"Don’t like the Cowboys, but gotta appreciate a good defensive play", said one fan.
"The more things change the more they stay the same", a Giants fan said.
"If that was Parsons, everyone would be going crazy and would be hyped as one of the plays of the year. But it's not him, so it won't", a third fan said.

Dallas is a team with many defensive superstars, with Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs, DaRon Bland and DeMarcus Lawrence all on the roster. But Overshown has been getting a bit of space to his own, even with the team midway through a crisis in 2024.
He was a third-round pick in the 2023 draft, but he did not contribute at all during his first year, as he suffered a torn ACL during the preseason of his rookie year. His debut came in Week 1 of the 2024 season, and he has already cemented his place as a starter.
In 2024, he netted six sacks, one forced fumble and eight tackles for a loss, and although the team currently has a 4-7 record, he has been one of the few positive surprises for Jerry Jones' team.
