“Go be with your kids” – Bills safety Jordan Poyer wants Tom Brady to call it quits after disaster showing vs Cowboys

Tom Brady will enter the 2023 NFL offseason with his future in question. It's unclear what his current plans are for next year after a disappointing 2022 NFL season.

He snuck into the NFL Playoffs, despite just an 8-9 regular-season record, but his Tampa Bay Buccaneers were dominated in the Wild Card round by the Dallas Cowboys.

It appears all options are on the table for Tom Brady this offseason, including returning to the Buccaneers, entering free agency, and even retiring. He infamously retired for about six weeks last offseason, before deciding to return for at least one more season. Speculation about his potential retirement is sure to be a huge topic of conversation this offseason.

Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer shared his thoughts on Tom Brady's future in the NFL during a recent episode of The Volume podcast:

"Tom, you know I love you. I feel like I've been riding for you all year. Early on, you can go back to my podcast, I said you can't count Tom out, and sure as s**t he made the playoffs. You did everything you could've did in this league.
"I understand you love this game. Go be with your kids, man. I didn't like watching that game, you know, it was hard to watch. You're down 27-0 at halftime. You could see he was defeated."

Poyer continued:

"I still think that he obviously knows everything about everything. The insides and outs of football. But it does take 11 to play the game. Go be with your kids, Tom. I appreciate everything that you've done in this league. I've got two picks off you, one to the crib. Lost both games, I'm 0-11 against you. Yes. please go be with your kids, Tom."

Poyer jokingly encouraged Brady to retire, while also mentioning Brady's incredible success against him when their teams have faced off. While Brady has impressive numbers against just about every team in the NFL, he may have owned the Bills more than any other team.
