“Gold digging h*e” – Deion Sanders’ daughter once accused Hall of Famer’s ex-wife of playing victim
Families can be hard work and for Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, his was certainly that. Back in 2011, things got a little dicey between Sanders' daughter, Deiondra, and her step-mom at the time, Pilar Sanders. Deiondra gave her both barrells in an explosive tirade back in 2011.
In what was an volatile rant on Twitter, Deiondra didn't hold back. She insinuated that Pilar was a terrible wife to Deion and also called her a "Gold Digging h*e," per TMZ.com.
Deiondra is a child from a previous relationship with Deion. It appears that she did not get along well with Pilar and aired out her issues in the public space.
What is also mentioned in Deiondra's tirade is that she dismisses Pilar's thoughts that she found out about the divorce from Deion, not from the man himself, but found out after going onto TMZ.com.
Deiondra tweeted:
"#HowYouDidntKnow but yo boxes have been packed for weeks now."
It was certainly a messy situation that was likely made worse by airing out the grievances publicly. It came as no surprise that Pilar and Deion filed for divorce.
Deion Sanders now a star college coach
Sanders was a superstar in the NFL and is in the Hall of Fame. Now, he is making the same waves while coaching college football.
Deion Sanders was appointed head coach of Jackson State and completely turned the program around. He was coach from 2020 through to 2022. In that time, Jackson State had a 27-6 record over that span. This included back-to-back seasons of double-digit wins while going 8-0 in their conference.
That'll work.
Deion Sanders then left Jackson State and was named the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes in the Pac-12 Conference as he looked to take his coaching up a level.
Given what he managed to do at Jackson State with limited resources, coming to a Pac-12 school with the resources to be successful, along with Sanders' aura, many expect Colorado to undergo the same transformation as Jackson State.
Time will tell if Sanders can work his coaching magic in a tougher competition.
