“He was absolutely disgusted last night” – Shannon Sharpe revels in Skip Bayless’ misery after Cowboys’ narrow TNF win vs Titans
The Dallas Cowboys were picked by many, including Skip Bayless, to blow out a Tennessee Titans team that was in the midst of testing out their backup quarterbacks to end the season on Thursday. Although Dallas won 27-13, even with star running back Derrick Henry out, Tennessee was within 17-13 heading to the fourth quarter, to the horror of the "Undisputed" host.
Bayless raised his fist in the air to hit the table to exclaim his trademark "How 'bout them Cowboys" line, but he couldn't get the words out due to his overpowering disappointment. Shannon Sharpe was overjoyed. Here's what Sharpe said in response:
“Don’t you do it! He can’t even do it! He was absolutely disgusted last night.”
Skip eventually gave up trying to muster the energy about the Thursday Night showdown. Here's what he said instead:
“How, how, how? ... I can’t do it today. They did not earn or deserve it. I’ll save it for 2023. Especially in 2023. I'm going to save my voice and my fist for 2023.”
Will Dak Prescott's 10-day break give him a fresh arm for the playoffs?
Dak Prescott stumbles in Cowboys' narrow victory over decimated Tennessee Titans
In the contest, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott threw for two touchdowns and two interceptions. The second interception almost turned the game on its head as in the third quarter, the team had a shot to blow out the team. Instead, Prescott nearly threw a pick six.
The first half set up a close second half, though, as the Dallas offense only managed to put up 10 points in the first two quarters. The Titans had not played especially well, but they had pulled within a touchdown of taking the lead. In the second half, the Titans kept it close until the fourth quarter, when the Cowboys went on a 10-0 run and secured the victory.
In total, both quarterbacks had similar games. Prescott completed 29 of 41 passes for 282 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Meanwhile, Joshua Dobbs completed 20 of 39 passes for 232 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Dallas (12-4) in the final 10-day mini-bye offered to teams this year. When the Cowboys return, they will play the seventh seed Washington Commanders.
