Cam Newton doubts LeBron James' Madden skills after Anthony Davis' praise: "He can't beat me"
Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton is a competitive person, even off of the football field. After Los Angeles Lakers star forward Anthony Davis hyped up his teammate LeBron James' skills in Madden, Newton claimed James doesn't stack up against him in the game.
Davis said that after he beat LeBron in Madden, LeBron became addicted to the game, playing till he allegedly became one of the top 1,000 player in the world.
Newton went on his podcast, 4th & 1 with Cam Newton, and commented to James, saying that you're not considered a good Madden player if you use a top team.
Newton said:
"Big cap. You're not considered the best if you're playing with the best teams ... A lot of these gamers are getting bailed out by having the best player. If you're playing with Patrick Mahomes in Madden, that's a cheat code.
"You don't even have to understand the schematics of football ... So come on, who you're playing with Bron, who you're playing with AD? Because you f*ck around to play me. My rule is this: play with an 85 team or less, and let's rock and roll."
Newton was then asked if he would challenge LeBron to a game of Madden, to which he replied:
"They will not f*ck with me ... I don't even want to play LeBron because LeBron is cool. But I know he can't beat me. That's just, put it like that. He don't got enough time to be dedicated to beat me."
