"He certainly wasn’t holding my hand" - When Gisele Bundchen helped Tom Brady and ex-GF Bridget Moynahan's relationship after Jack's birth
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's relationship started with Bridget Moynahan announcing her pregnancy. Ultimately, Brady and Gisele ended up sticking together, with the supermodel raising Brady and Moynahan's son Jack as one of her own. However, Moynahan and Brady's relationship did have a rocky interval when Jack was born.
The actress has spoken about the situation during interviews, shedding light on her pregnancy and relationship with Tom Brady.
Over time, Moynahan even developed a relationship with Gisele, more or less revolving around Jack. As we all know, Bundchen accepted Jack as a part of her family.
Tom Brady, on his end, might have had a strained relationship with Moynahan in the beginning. During a 2011 interview with More magazine, Moynahan detailed the events of her labor, speaking about Brady's presence:
“[Tom] was there on that day and came in afterwards. He certainly wasn’t holding my hand while I pushed.”
Later, another source (according to Page Six) spoke highly of Moynahan's relationship with Bundchen. It seems like the relationship between the two families has only improved over the years.
“They like things just so, every toilet has to be perfect, everything has to be sustainable and organic,” a friend of theirs said. “Sustainability is Gisele’s passion."
Bridget Moynahan was glad about Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's presence in Jack's life
All things considered, it worked out well for this makeshift family. In an interview with Good Morning America, Moynahan spoke about Bundchen and how glad she was that Jack had her in his life.
“Tom and I made a decision to raise a child together and we both found partners that not only supported us in raising that child, but also loved our child as if he was their own. I don’t think you can ask for more than that....My son is surrounded by love.”
Of course, it wasn't easy for Bundchen right after beginning a new relationship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star. Yet, the Brazilian model decided to go ahead with their relationship.
Despite the outcome, Bundchen did consider ending their relationship following the news. In a previous interview with Vanity Fair, Bundchen spoke about how the situation was unconditional for everyone involved.
Ultimately, she decided to stick with Brady and give their relationship a chance:
“You question at times — ‘Should I stay here? Maybe you should work this out'. But when people break up, it’s for a reason.”
Tom Brady and Gisele confirmed their divorce earlier this year, ending a relationship spanning almost two decades. They are co-parenting their two children, Ben and Vivian.
