“He don’t like you”- Micah Parsons savagely trolls Marlon Humphrey after Lamar Jackson requests trade out of Baltimore
A new chapter in Lamar Jackson's contract saga arrived in dramatic fashion on Monday. The quarterback announced to the world that he demanded a trade from the Baltimore Ravens in early March, before the deadline for the franchise tag ended.
Although everyone knows how difficult the situation has been for the team and the player, a trade request made public is a new twist for every interested party – especially teams that were wary of signing him to an offer sheet due to their fear of the Ravens matching the contract.
Ravens players know that although a business decision is a business decision, it's almost impossible to find a quarterback of Jackson's quality on the market.
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey tried to engage a hashtag to keep his quarterback in Baltimore, but he was savagely shut down by Micah Parsons.
"Let’s go!! Lamar #StaywiththeRavens," Humphrey tweeted.
"He don’t like you Marlo! Might be the worst recruiter on the net!! lol you no fun!! You built a pool with no diving board," Parsons responded.
John Harbaugh confident Lamar Jackson will stay in Baltimore
The quarterback is fed up with his team as he feels that he's not being fairly valued and wants to go to a place where his value is reflected in his salary.
Not everybody in the franchise is on board with the decision. Coach John Harbaugh does not want to lose Jackson to any other team, as he knows his importance to the Ravens. He made his feelings clear during a Monday news conference, right when Lamar's trade request was announced.
“I’m getting ready for Lamar," Harbaugh said. "When Lamar gets back on this train, it’s moving full speed. We love him."
For a trade to happen, the quarterback would have to sign his franchise tag with the team before the deal is official. He would be able to pick his destination as any team would have to sign him to a contract extension before trading for his services.
