“He’s a better QB than Patrick Mahomes” – Pacman Jones claims he’s spitting facts, places AFC QB above former MVP
Since Patrick Mahomes became the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, he has led them to four straight AFC Championship Games. Mahomes has transformed himself into one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Many believe that he is the best quarterback in the league. However, there are still many people who don't believe that he is the best in the game. One of them is Pacman Jones.
In a recent video, Pacman Jones claimed that Mahomes is a system quarterback, and Joe Burrow is better than him. Here's what Pacman Jones said about Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes:
"I might not say everything the right correct ESPN way, but everything I say got fuc**ng facts about it. When I fu**ing said last week that fu**ing Patrick Mahomes can't read fu**ing defense, I meant it."
He continued:
"When I said last week that fucking Joe Burrow, he's a better quarterback than Pat Mahomes, I meant it. I don't think Patrick Mahomes If you've ever been with any other coach right now we'll be having the success that he's having."
Jones added:
"The reason why I say that because all you got to do is watch all you gotta do is watch if you play coverage, and don't let him escape the pocket and make him step up in the pocket to throw the ball 90% of the time. He's not the same guy. Now if you let them break the pocket, get on the run and he could throw them on foot from Ohio to Nashville."
Joe Burrow does have a 3-0 record against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. As a result, there is certainly a claim that Burrow might be better than Mahomes.
However, Mahomes has proved it for a much longer period than Burrow has done so far, and due to that, we have to give some more time to compare the two talented quarterbacks.
Patrick Mahomes still has an edge over Joe Burrow
Although Joe Burrow is still undefeated against Mahomes, that doesn't mean that he has solidified himself as the best quarterback in the league.
Burrow is still on a rookie deal, and due to that, the Cincinnati Bengals have been able to surround him with good players on a higher payroll than what the Chiefs can afford.
Once Burrow signs the lofty contract extension along with Ja'Marr Chase being ready to sign his extension as well, it will be interesting to see how Burrow will deal with that. Despite losing Tyreek Hill, Mahomes has been able to play MVP-caliber football, and as a result, he may still be the best quarterback in the league.
