"He's got to pay": Marlon Humphrey takes aim at Travis Kelce over $100,000,000 deal with Amazon
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey has taken aim at Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Travis and his brother Jason Kelce agreed to $100+ million deal with Amazon for their "New Heights Podcast."
However, Humphrey, who also has his own podcast, took aim at Travis Kelce for the Amazon deal.
“I pray for this, to go against him because he has tried to take everything from me. He tried to take it all from me. He has got to pay. He has got to pay for what he has done to the podcast space. How he has tried to eliminate us ... And, honestly, I don’t care who he’s dating," Humphrey said on his Punch Line Podcast (27:42).
Humphrey's podcast has over 45k subscribers on YouTube, while New Heights has 2.44 million subscribers on YouTube. The podcast featuring the Kelce brothers has grown into one of the most popular sports podcasts.
On the field, Humphrey will go up against Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. The Chiefs are set to host the Baltimore Ravens in the season opener on Thursday, September 5 at 8:20 p.m. ET.
Marlon Humphrey slims down ahead of 2024 NFL season
Marlon Humphrey is entering his eighth NFL season with the Baltimore Ravens. The 28-year-old is one of the top cornerbacks, but ahead of the 2024 season, Humphrey has slimmed down.
“Yes, I slimmed down a little bit. It was kind of by design. I looked at the past, I looked at my better seasons, and I was a little bit lighter those years, so I decided to get around a little bit lower of a weight. I’ve been feeling [and] moving pretty well at it, so we’ll kind of see how it wiggles around with training camp," Humphrey said, via RavensWire.
"I’ve really been talking advantage of Sarah [Snyder], our [director of sports nutrition]. I’ve been really trying to lean on the resources the Ravens offer, do things the right way instead of my usual, which is just don’t eat – which is not the best route – so I’ve really, really been trying to slim up a little bit and go with the plan that she’s put out for me," Humphrey added.
Marlon Humphrey was selected 16th overall by Baltimore in the 2017 NFL draft. In his career, the cornerback has recorded 13 interceptions. 5.5 sacks, 13 forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and 76 pass defenses.
