“Is Herschel Walker your dad?” – Jimmy Kimmel roasts Republican Senate nominee in hilarious skit amid former NFL star’s abortion scandal

Herschel Walker has been in the headlines for his role in an abortion scandal, just as he's running in a tight Senate race in Georgia. While some are taking the Republican candidate and the abortion scandal seriously, late-night host Jimmy Kimmell found some comic relief in it. On his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, the late-night host ran a skit about the scandal of people using '34and Me.'

The number 34 was the jersey number Walker wore during his football career. It's a play on the DNA testing site 23andMe. In the skit, anyone who took the 34andME DNA test was automatically the former Dallas Cowboys star's child. He released a Tweet with the video asking:

Back in 2009, the Georgia candidate for Senate reportedly paid his then-girlfriend to have an abortion. according to the Daily Beast. They discontinued their relationship after she refused to go through with it.

Walker has denied even paying for an abortion in an interview with FOX:

“I never paid for an abortion. And it's a lie. And I'm going to continue to fight. They want this seat. Right now, they've energized me even more"

Senator Rick Scott of Florida and the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee wrote a statement defending Walker:

"When the Democrats are losing, as they are right now, they lie and cheat and smear their opponents! Herschel has denied these allegations and the NRSC and Republicans stand with him, and Georgians will stand with him too."
As Rick Scott says “When the Democrats are losing, as they are right now, they lie and cheat and smear their opponents! Herschel has denied these allegations & the NRSC & Republicans stand with him, & Georgians will stand with him too.” Scott said. 🇺🇸💥👍🏻

Back in May this year, Herschel Walker was asked by the Atlanta, Georgia radio station WABE to describe his point of view on abortion. He said:

"There's no exception in my mind. Like I said, I believe in life."
Herschel Walker weighed in on abortion when he told reporters that he supports a total ban, with no exceptions for rape or incest.

“There’s no exception in my mind,” he said after a campaign speech. “Like I say, I believe in life. I believe in life.” washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/…

The former NFL running back doubled down on his stance on abortion, promising to back a national ban on abortion. The recent abortion allegations are potentially political dynamite. Adding to Walker's problems, his son Christian recently came out against his father on social media, commenting:

"Family values people? He has four kids, four different women. Wasn't in the house raising one of them. He was out having sex with other women. Do you care about family values?"

Currently, the race for the United States Senate in Georgia remains basically the same. Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock leads the Republican challenger by a 52 - 45 percent margin. We'll see if the scandal will have a continued impact, if any, on Walker as the election looms next month.
