How much does Jalen Carter weigh? Controversial rookie struggles at Georgia Pro Day

If there was a player hoping to be drafted that couldn't afford any missteps, it is Georgia standout Jalen Carter. After a warrant was issued for his arrest before the NFL Scouting Combine, for his alleged involvement in a car crash that killed a teammate, there was no margin for error left.

Projected to be a high draft pick in the next month's NFL Draft, after the warrant for his arrest made the news, many had him falling down the draft order. Still a first-round pick for many, things may have changed after his Georgia Pro Day as it went, well, badly.

Per ESPN's Mark Schlabach, Carter struggled to finish his workout and couldn't finish his position drills as he was cramping and breathing heavily. He also weighed in nine pounds heavier (323 pounds) than his Combine weight.

If that wasn't bad enough for Jalen Carter in front of several NFL teams, footage has emerged of him participating in drills and it does not make for great viewing.

Such was Jalen Carter's performance on his Pro Day, it is now being thought that the young star is coping mentally with his off-field issues.

The NFL drafting process is a draining one for those who have their ducks in a row. But for someone like Carter, who has other things going on, it can be made that much tougher to keep your head in the game.

Prior to the scouting combine and his arrest warrant, there were many NFL Mock Drafts that had Carter as a potential first overall pick. The Georgia standout was thought to be a better option than drafting a host of quarterbacks in CJ Stroud, Will Levis, and Bryce Young.

That shows the talent of the defensive lineman. But now, after his arrest warrant and a less-than-stellar Pro Day, Carter's draft stock has taken a monumental nosedive.

Whether teams still see him as a first-round pick is unknown, but there can be no hiding the fact that Jalen Carter will not be the top pick in this year's NFL Draft.
