"How he is not the MVP?": Ex-NFL HC makes strong case for Lamar Jackson as MVP race heats up
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been performing on a different level this season, with many fans viewing him as the league's MVP. As the season is coming to an end, the debate for NFL MVP is heating up between Jackson and Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.
Both have played incredible football. Allen is ninth in the NFL in passing yards (3,395, with 25 touchdowns), while Jackson is fifth with 3,580 and 34 TDs. Meanwhile, Jackson has more rushing yards (743) than Allen (484, but with 11 touchdowns).
In a recent tweet, Jon Gruden, an ex-NFL coach, wrote that Lamar Jackson is the rightful MVP due to his overall statistics and strong work ethic. He said that the star quarterback has been playing his best football this season. He compared the player to NFL legends such as Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers based on his interceptions and passing performance.
"Good God. How is he not the MVP?" Gruden tweeted.
