"I looked like sh*t": Kristin Cavallari points to "unhappy marriage" with Jay Cutler taking toll on her health
Kristin Cavallari was previously married to former Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler, and Cavallari feels her "unhappy" marriage took a great toll on her health. The mother of three was asked about her body transformation for the show, "Very Cavallari."
A fan asked Kristin Cavallari how she looked so much slimmer in "Very Cavallari" compared to her now during her podcast called "Let's Be Honest." Cavallari said she was on the same diet at that time as she is now, but the only difference is that she was unhappy back then.
"The difference was, I was so unhappy and so stressed out. I look back at photos from that time period and I am like, ‘Holy sh*t! I was rail f**king thin. I was skin and bones. I looked like sh*t,'" she said. (3:37-4:26)
She added:
"I think I look so much better now. And you guys, that was just stress. That was being in a really unhappy marriage, quite honestly. Literally, I was so unhappy and I had way too much on my plate."
Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler were married from 2013 to 2020 before they decided to part ways for good.

Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari first started dating back in 2009 when the Broncos quarterback asked her out on a date. Three years later, they got engaged in April 2011.
In July 2011, Cutler and Cavallari called off their engagement and broke up. However, they got back together in November 2011. Two years later, the NFL couple got married in June 2013 in Nashville.
After being together for more than a decade, Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler announced their divorce via a dedicated Instagram post. Cavallari wrote:
"With great sadness after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart."
Even though they filed for divorce in 2020, it wasn't finalized until 2022. As for Jay Cutler's ex-wife, she has found herself in love with famous TikTok influencer Mark Estes. Cavallari went public with her romance in February 2024.
