“I’m done with Dak” - Skip Bayless breaks up with Dak Prescott and Mike McCarthy

As Dak Prescott undoubtedly knows, Skip Bayless is one of the biggest Cowboys fans on the planet. The sports talk show host has made a career out of talking about his team.

Despite getting everything as a result of his allegiance with the team, the host has decided to end his fandom of two of the beating hearts of the team.

Speaking on Undisputed, the talk show host put it as clearly as one can. He said:

"To my head coach and my quarterback. I do not love either one of them. I am still stuck with Dak because I'm done with Dak and I'm still stuck with "please drop the Mike" McCarthy because Jerry loves him. Jerry doesn't love Dak, but Jerry committed long-term to Dak, so now his pride is on the line."

Will the Cowboys reach the NFC Championship game in 2023?

Despite knocking off the little brother of the 30-year old monkey on the back of the franchise in 2022, the Cowboys felt it was time to renovate their offense. They cut ties with Ezekiel Elliot and Kellen Moore this offseason and in their place, wide receiver Brandin Cooks and Mike McCarthy are calling the plays.

The team also saw an upgrade at cornerback on the other side of the ball in Stephon Gilmore. Aside from cleaning house at quarterback and offensive coordinator, they couldn't have done much more on the offensive side of the ball.

Many would argue this has been one of the biggest changes facing the team since Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot's first year in the league. The running back was expected to take over, but the quarterback effectively took the reins from Tony Romo, putting two new engines in the offense.

That season, the team went 12-4 and felt revitalized after the Tony Romo era. Could 2023 be a similar story?
