"If it ain't from horse's mouth, it's probably bullsh*t" - Davante Adams rips DeSean Jackson's viral claim

Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams has blasted DeSean Jackson over his recent claims that Adams was not happy in Las Vegas and wanted to be traded. Adams is entering his third season at Las Vegas, but the Raiders have yet to make the playoffs in his two years.

With the Raiders not having playoff success, Jackson said he spoke to Adams, who told him he isn't happy in Las Vegas.

"This one's tough because me and Davante, we've talked and man, I hate to do it, I don't want to be the guy that's like, 'Oh, DJax said this and said that.' But at the end of the day, he is unhappy," Jackson said, via ESPN.
"You go from Aaron Rodgers, then you come to the Las Vegas Raiders and now not only Jimmy G [Garoppolo], you had your boy [Derek] Carr. It didn't really work out. ... from the Fresno State days, right? You think they would come back and work everything out and it just quite didn't work out. So now, I just don't think he's really that happy there."

After Jackson's comments went viral, Davante Adams told reporters that DeSean Jackson's comments weren't true.

"I've probably spoken to DeSean Jackson maybe three or four times in my life. And I never had a conversation with him ever. And I put that on my kids. I've never spoken to him about anything. Only person I really talk to about my feelings, in general, is my wife, probably. And she ain't out there leaking anything and dropping stuff like that in the media.
"So once again, whatever you see, if it ain't from the horse's mouth, it's probably bullsh*t. Whatever has been put out there lately is complete BS. I've never talked to DeSean Jackson about one thing. ... In terms of me being upset or not being happy in this organization, it's just a bunch of BS. That's just meant to throw everybody off and get clickbait."

Adams has a potential out in his contract after the 2024 season but is under contract through 2026, which will be his age-34 campaign.

The Raiders had a rough time of it in 2023, and after a poor start fired HC Josh McDaniels. While they rebounded and finished 8-9, they missed the playoffs for the second consecutive campaign.

Las Vegas will open its 2024 NFL season on the road on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Raiders will have their home opener in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers.
