"If I'm Matt LaFleur, I am p****d" - Mike Florio claims Packers HC has had it with Aaron Rodgers' veiled criticism

Aaron Rodgers' comments about his team started as relatively quiet whispers, but now he's using a megaphone. According to one NFL analyst, the criticism is being heard loud and clear by head coach Matt LaFleur, and it is getting under his skin.

Following a disappointing loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 7, Rodgers blamed their poor start to the season on his teammates. He said that some players are making too many mistakes and should see fewer snaps.

Aaron Rodgers said anything he says on @PatMcAfeeShow, he says in person to guys.

Re: cutting reps for mistake-prone guys:

“If people don’t think I need to air that stuff out, that’s their opinion, but I’m doing what I think is in the best interest of our guys.”

Speaking on Pro Football Talk Live, NFL analyst Mike Florio claimed that the quarterback's comments are making the head coach's life difficult:

"So if I'm Matt LaFleur... the coach of the team, I've had enough of this guy right now. I'm trying to coach a football team here, an entire team."

He went on, claiming that Rodgers' appearances on the Pat McAfee Show haven't helped matters:

"I don't need this guy with his weekly radio spot saying whatever he wants to say to create problems for me. Because if you're Matt LaFleur and you're in that chair where you're running the operation and your quarterback is out there saying this stuff, it does not make your life easier."

He continued, claiming he has enough stress as the Packers could get badly beaten on Sunday Night Football:

"It makes your life harder, because now you've got to deal with that on top of everything else you're dealing with. Trying to get ready to go to Buffalo where you sense you're going to get your a** kicked on Sunday night."

Lastly, he concluded that the head coach should be beyond unhappy with Aaron Rodgers:

"Now you got this to deal with because your quarterback has got a case of diarrhea of the mouth and he decides he's going to go off on all these things. If I'm Matt LaFleur, I am p****d."

Aaron Rodgers' slip from sunny to stormy days

Green Bay Packers v Minnesota Vikings
Green Bay Packers v Minnesota Vikings

In September, all seemed to be normal for the Green Bay Packers. Davante Adams wasn't around anymore, but the team was finding ways to win. After four games, the Packers were 3-1 and coming off wins against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick in back-to-back weeks. The New England Patriots game was uglier than fans would have hoped, but the Packers won in the end.

Since then, however, Rodgers has nosedived to a 3-4 record with losses against the New York Giants and the New York Jets. Arguably the Packers' worst loss of the season came last Sunday against the Commanders, who were led by a backup quarterback.

Green Bay are now looking for a way to clean up their act before facing arguably the hottest team in football - the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are coming off a bye and have already defeated arguably their biggest competitor in the Kansas City Chiefs. Will Aaron Rodgers make Sunday Night Football a classic, or will the Packers fall to 3-5. The game kicks off at 8:20 PM EST on October 30th.
