Illinois man arrested for 'terrorist threat' against Chiefs players at Morgan Wallen concert with Patrick & Brittany Mahomes in attendance

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently in training camp with their preseason schedule of games still a week away. With some time on their hands, Chiefs players enjoyed some downtime this weekend. Patrick Mahomes and his pregnant wife Brittany Mahomes were spotted at a Morgan Wallen concert on Friday, and Travis Kelce and Chris Jones were also in attendance.

Interestingly, Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt was also present at the concert.

However, Wallen's concert at Arrowhead nearly went sideways when a concertgoer threw some troubling threats.

According to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office, an Illinois man later identified as Aaron Brown threatened to shoot two individuals of the Chiefs organization at the concert.

The charging documents added that Brown made a direct threat in a post on social media platform X. The redacted threat read:

"Mr. [redacted] at Arrowhead with the wife. If he brings out [redacted] or [redacted] I'll take the f**kin shot. F**k em! Also f**k you b**ch!! (hand emoji with middle finger up twice)"

Brown was charged with a Class E felony of Making a Terrorist Threat in the 2nd Degree. The concert was delayed by 40 minutes until authorities apprehended Brown. Upon being questioned as to why he made the threat, Brown said it was a "stupid, stupid mistake" and added that the post was just down to his stupidity and arrogance. His bond was set at $15,000.

Controversy erupts as Morgan Wallen dons Harrison Butker's number

After being delayed by 40 minutes, Wallen walked out at Arrowhead with Kelce, Mahomes and Jones on stage.

Wallen wore a Chiefs jersey with the number seven on the front, a number that belongs to Harrison Butker.

Taylor Swift's fans didn't take too kindly to Kelce's support of Wallen owing to the fact that Butker ignited a fair bit of controversy in the past over his comments on women's roles in society.

At a commencement speech in May at the Benedictine College in Kansas, Butker said:

"Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world."

Butker also stated that there's "nothing natural about Catholic birth control," a stance that did not go down well on social media.

In any case, it's important to note that Morgan Wallen has been spotted wearing the number seven on several jerseys at multiple concerts in the past.
