Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife, Emily Wilkinson, brought the holiday magic to nearly 100 children at their annual Passing the Joy event. The sole agenda of the occasion, held at the Dream Center of Tampa, was to spread cheer to families in need. Emily shared a few sneak peeks from the event on Instagram.
The atmosphere was alight with balloons, twinkling lights and a Christmas tree on the stage. Besides, Santa Claus was also present and brought excitement to the children as he waved to the crowd.
"Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation hosted its annual Passing the Joy event, providing meals and gifts to nearly 100 children ❤️," read the caption of one of the IG Stories.
What truly warms the heart is seeing the children’s faces light up as they received presents, played games and enjoyed meals provided by Hattricks Tavern.
Through their Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation, the couple collaborated with key sponsors like Perry Homes, Planet Fitness and Fifth Third Bank to ensure the event was a success. Along with gift cards for families to cover primary needs, the foundation also made a donation to support Tampa Bay’s youth.
Baker Mayfield foundation's Passing the Joy event had a special guest
It was none other than the NFL power couple’s eight-month-old daughter, Kova Jade Mayfield, who was born in April. Spotted in her proud father's arms, little Kova brought smiles to everyone around her.
However, this is not her first public appearance. Baker Mayfield's daughter, Kova, debuted on Instagram on July 6. She was also seen at both preseason and regular-season games with her mom, Emily.
Baker and Emily met in 2017 through a mutual friend. Six months later, the couple got engaged as the NFL QB popped the big question. In June 2019, they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in California.
Four and a half years later, in December 2023, they announced their pregnancy with a maternity shoot, where Emily held the ultrasound scan in her hand.
Interestingly, the happy update from Baker Mayfield's wife, Emily, came after last year's Passing the Joy event.
