IN PHOTOS: Chiefs owner Clark Hunt's wife Tavia pens down emotional note while recapping Chiefs Kickoff Luncheon
The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to make history and win their third consecutive Super Bowl in 2024. Ahead of the season kickoff, the organization hosted its annual Kickoff Luncheon. Tavia Hunt, the wife of team CEO Clark Hunt, shared photos on Instagram of the event.
Tavia reminisced about attending her first event 33 years ago when she was just an intern with the organization. She then thanked the fan base and her excitement for Week 1 next week.
"Surrounded by 1200 enthusiastic fans, I marked my 33rd year at the Chiefs Kickoff Luncheon, reminiscing about my first as a 19-year-old Public Relations intern. Hosted by the KC Chamber, this annual event unites the civic community and devoted fans to rally behind both new team members and beloved veterans, including the coaching staff," Tavia wrote in the caption.
"The event was electrified with special appearances by KC Wolf, Chiefs Rumble, and Chiefs Cheer, all made possible by the generous support of presenting sponsor Burns & McDonnell. Praying for God to give us all the “courage to climb” in the places of leadership He’s given us. The countdown to RED WEDNESDAY begins now!"
Tavia Hunt shared a few photos alongside her husband, Clark Hunt, one of which included them standing in front of Kansas City's four Lombardi Trophies.
In another photo, Tavia Hunt posed alongside members of the Kansas City fan base. Head coach Andy Reid also made an appearance on stage at the luncheon.
The stars of the team also took the stage to speak with fans, including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones.
Chiefs' announcer Mitch Holthus mentions Taylor Swift at Luncheon
During the Chiefs' annual Luncheon, a few players took part in a roundtable discussion. The discussion was hosted by Kansas City announcer Mitch Holthus. At one point, Travis Kelce told the announcer that the players "loved him."
Holthus responded by asking if he loved him more than Taylor Swift, to which the tight end responded, "Maybe not."
The moment got a chuckle from many in the room. Swift is expected to embark on her second season supporting Travis Kelce and Kansas City. She made her first appearance at Arrowhead Stadium last September.
