IN PHOTOS: Olivia Culpo stuns in Dolce & Gabbana dress at royal theme wedding to Christian McCaffrey
Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are married now after they took time during the NFL offseason to tie the knot. They chose Rhode Island as their location for the nuptials.
The former Miss Universe looked stunning in a Dolce & Gabanna dress. As reported by Vogue,
"@oliviaculpo and @christianmccaffrey are married! The model and former Miss Universe walked down the church aisle in Watch Hill, Rhode Island in a long-sleeve crepe crew neck ball gown with a voluminous skirt and button-lined back."
Reflecting on her choice of dress, Olivia Culpo said,
“I wanted it to feel timeless, effortless, and as if it’s complimenting me, not overpowering me."
Here are the photos of Olivia Culpo in the dress she wore for her wedding with Christian McCaffrey.

Olivia Culpo also revealed to Vogue that her perception of marriage as a covenant heavily influenced the choice of her dress along with her now-husband Christian McCaffrey's feelings. She said:
"It’s a covenant. It’s the beginning of the rest of your life—and it’s the union and bond of two people forever. I wanted something that felt as serious as that commitment... I didn’t want it to exude sex in any way, shape, or form.”
She also added:
“When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered, and elegant.”
Olivia Culpo also said that Dolce & Gabanna presented her with a dress where she did not need to make any alterations, as it fully met her needs and desires. In fact, there was only one wedding gown she tried out, and that's what she wore to her wedding with Christian McCaffrey. She confirmed:
“It was exactly the same as the original sketch. This is the first, last, and only wedding dress I tried on.”
Falling in love with the dress from the first moment to celebrate a relationship where they fell in love with each other is indeed poetic.
Christian McCaffrey might have had a harrowing end to last season with losing the Super Bowl with the San Francisco 49ers. But with a new contract and now getting married, the offseason couldn't have gone much better.
His team will hope the good fortune smiling on him now continues into the upcoming 2024 NFL season, where they look to compete for the World Championship again.
