IN PHOTOS: Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany checks in for ‘beautiful day’ at Chiefs vs Panthers
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are ready to put last week's loss to the Buffalo Bills behind them. On Sunday afternoon, as the Chiefs prepared to take on the Carolina Panthers, Brittany Mahomes shared photos of her gameday outfit.
Brittany wore a custom red jacket that she paired with a black turtleneck and black pants. In the first photo she shared on Instagram, Brittany stood on the sidelines, showing the bright blue skies and sunshine pouring down on the field at Bank of America Stadium. Temperatures were in the low 60s at the time of kickoff.
"It's a beautiful day wow," Brittany wrote.
She shared another photo showing the back of her jacket, which read "MAHOMES." It's unclear if Brittany and Patrick Mahomes' two children were in attendance.
The Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) remain the top team in the AFC and remain focused on securing the top seed.
Patrick Mahomes leads Chiefs to early lead vs. Panthers
The mild temperatures and beautiful weather weren't the only things Brittany Mahomes had to celebrate on Sunday afternoon. Her husband led his team to an early lead against the Carolina Panthers and did something he hadn't done all season.
Mahomes threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Noah Gray to take an early 7-0 lead over the Panthers. Not only did it help give the Chiefs an early lead, but it was also the first touchdown pass that he has thrown in the first quarter this season.
The Chiefs offense hasn't been as smooth and productive this season. It has been decimated by injuries, which caused them to play the majority of this season without Hollywood Brown, Isiah Pacheco and Rashee Rice.
The Kansas City Chiefs are attempting to put themselves in a category all alone by winning three straight Super Bowl titles.
