Patrick Mahomes on family and his NFL career

Patrick Mahomes, with three NFL titles to his name, is already considered one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the league. Naturally, people have compared the Kansas City Chiefs star to Tom Brady, who played 20 years in the NFL.

While talking to the TIMES Magazine, Mahomes revealed that he isn't sure how long he will play. However, if his career keeps him from his family, Mahomes is ready to take a step back when needed.

“I’ve looked," Mahomes said. "If I played until Tom’s age, my daughter would be 19, 20 years old. That would mean missing plenty of youth sporting events and other commitments.
“I would love to play that long. At the same time, I want to be there for my daughter. If I can do that, I'll continue to play. But if I feel like it's taking away from my family time, that's when I'll know it's time to go.”

Having won the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas, Mahomes is currently looking to complete a three-peat. One can expect Brittany and the kids to be present at Chiefs games to cheer Mahomes on.
