Bailey Zappe, the star quarterback of the New England Patriots, tied the knot with fiancée Hannah Lewis on Wednesday, July 3. However, the couple took their time and broke the news on Monday via an Instagram post showcasing their wedding pictures.
The newlywed couple exchanged vows alongside a lake shore in Montana, with their wedding ceremony inspired by the show Yellowstone. As spotted in the pictures, a clear scenic view of mountains adorns the couple's background.
Hannah Lewis and her husband, Bailey Zappe, were interviewed by TheKnot, and during the conversation, they shared details about their wedding. Lewis expressed how they picked the venue, keeping the "Yellowstone" show in mind, considering it's a favorite of both of them.
"We're from Texas, where it's all flatlands. We wanted our venue to have scenic mountains, and we both loved the show Yellowstone. So we landed on Montana," Lewis told TheKnot.
During the interview, Hannah Lewis also expressed how the initial plan was to conduct a larger wedding. However, during the planning process, the couple concluded that it was better to keep it small and reserved. Talking about the change in wedding size, Lewis said:
"We both have very small circles, and we aren't huge partiers. It just didn't fit our style. We sat down and talked to each other and said, 'Let's just elope with our family.'"
The couple booked a cabin just two hours away from the lake, where they exchanged vows. The cabin offered comfortable accommodations to the wedding guests, who were also engaged in pre-wedding activities like group hiking and sightseeing.
After the ceremony, the couple returned to the cabin, where the reception with guests took place. The couple revealed that the menu of the wedding dinner consisted of many varieties, from shrimp to mac and cheese to tomahawk steak. Moreover, the couple danced to Tim McGraw's "My Best Friend" during the reception.
How did Bailey Zappe and Hannah Lewis meet?
Bailey Zappe and Hannah Lewis met in 2017 during their graduation year at Houston Baptist University. Reportedly, there was a lot of texting that went back and forth before the couple finally decided to go on their first date.
After dating for six years, the couple decided to exchange rings in May 2023, when Bailey Zappe got down on his knees to propose to Hannah Lewis in Dallas. Now that the couple is married, they are looking forward to enjoying their honeymoon before the quarterback heads back to the Patriots' practice camp.
