Drake Maye's birthday post from Ann Michael Hudson came almost two weeks after her celebrations for the quarterback's first NFL touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles. Even though the Patriots lost the game, Maye's first touchdown was worth celebrating for her.
Hudson has been one of the major support pillars for Maye, cheering him up in each step of his career. During his first day at training camp, she was there to hype him up. Hudson also shared pictures from her visit on Instagram.
Maye has created a good impression of his gameplay and skills not just on fans but also on Tom Brady. The NFL legend believes the Maye can use his opportunity with the franchise to make a better name for himself in the league.
Tom Brady praises Drake Maye while highlighting QB's career-making opportunity with the Patriots
In an interview with Yahoo Sports in June, Tom Brady recalled his impression of Drake Maye, considering the quarterback's inclusion in the Patriots' 52-man roster. Brady said that he's heard great things about the North Carolina product.
"I’m very fortunate to be around him, and I like him a lot. I’ve heard great things about him," Brady said. "But his opportunity is really going to be what he makes of it and how he wants to develop it."
Drew Bledsoe also gave some advice for the Patriots on starting Maye in their Week 1 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The game is on Sep. 8 with kickoff scheduled at 1 p.m. ET.
