IN PHOTOS: Sauce Gardner gifted Jessica Alba customized cleats by famous artist

New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner went viral a few weeks ago after he admitted to not knowing who actress Jessica Alba was. The interaction happened when he was with quarterback Aaron Rodgers at Game 2 of the NBA playoffs between the Miami Heat and New York Knicks. Gardner and Rodgers were seated near Alba courtside at Madison Square Garden.

The 22-year-old's inability to recognize the actress brought a laugh to his recently acquired New York Jets quarterback. Alba even tweeted about the interaction later, finding it funny and saying that he was very nice to her and her friends and it was nice to meet him. But now, it seems that the young cornerback won't be forgetting who Alba is anytime soon, thanks to artist Mike Jordan.

Jordan created a pair of custom cleats for Gardner that feature two different images of Jessica Alba on each cleat. This is to ensure that he doesn't forget about the actress anytime soon.

One cleat features Alba from her movie 'Honey', while the other from when she played Susan Storm in 'Fantastic Four'.

Last week, Jordan dropped off the custom cleats for Sauce Gardner at the New York Jets facility. No word yet on if or when the cornerback will be sporting those new cleats on the field.

Did Sauce Gardner almost convince OBJ to sign with Jets?

Just last month, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr signed with the Baltimore Ravens. But, before he did so, there were NFL players across the league trying to recruit the free agent. New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner was apparently close to convincing him to sign.

Last week, the cornerback told Sports Illustrated that Beckham was to the point that he was considering a new jersey number. He said that OBJ asked him to ask some of his teammates if they would want to switch numbers.

"Odell, he wanted to play here. It was to the point where he was picking his jersey. He was telling me, like, 'Hey, ask so-and-so if I can get the jersey number I want'. He was going to wear number 7."

At this point, the Jets corner believed that he had convinced OBJ to play with the Jets. The Jets had scheduled a visit to OBJ on April 10 but the Baltimore Ravens jumped ahead and scheduled their visit for April 9. This made it possible for the Ravens to sign the wide receiver.
