IN PHOTOS: Trevor Lawrence's wife Marissa turns heads with grand baby shower
Trevor Lawrence and his wife Marissa announced they were welcoming their first child to the world -- a daughter -- in July. As her due date looms, Marissa has made sure to make a moment.
On Saturday, she hosted a baby shower to commemorate her impending delivery. Wearing a white dress with lace details, she proudly showed off her baby bump as her guests happily feasted themselves on the available food:
Trevor Lawrence was not present at the occasion, as his Jacksonville Jaguars host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon. He has been declared questionable with a shoulder injury.
Trevor Lawrence's wife Marissa celebrates her 25th birthday this week
Saturday marked an advance double celebration for Marissa as well, as she will also turn 25 on Sunday. Commemorating the milestone on Instagram on Friday, she said:
"Kicking off the birthday weekend with some of my favorite people ✨ I’m so grateful to have so many amazing people in my life. I love you guys"
Trevor Lawrence is a prominent presence in the collage above and has been throughout Marissa's life, having met her all the way back in fifth grade. However, they did not truly start dating until ten levels later, when they were in high school - as he revealed in 2023 exclusively to Us Weekly.
Their relationship persisted even as they went to different universities in South Carolina (Clemson for him, Anderson for her). Eventually, they wanted to marry each other. He said:
“That’s what I wanted to do and she felt the same way... It’s fun to have your person with you through all the different stuff that we’ve gone through. It’s been cool. I’ve known her for a long time … [and] we’ve kind of seen the best and the worst in each other and it’s been fun.”
The ceremony happened in April 2021, and he would amplify his care and feelings for her since then:
“We try to do some version of a date night, whether that’s going out or ordering in and just hanging out and having a glass of wine or whatever. 'Cause during the week it gets kind of busy and then, especially, when we have families coming in town on the weekends and that’s even busier.”
Since then, their life has progressed to becoming future parents, as they revealed in July.
