Is Aaron Rodgers among the top 5 QBs of all-time? Kevin Durant names Packers star in his list

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers just have a .500 record through the first six weeks of the current NFL season. But that doesn't take away from everything that the star quarterback has done throughout his career. It also doesn't stop the praise he is receiving from other greats of the sporting world.

Kevin Durant was a guest on the Let's Go podcast with Tom Brady, Jim Gray, and Larry Fitzgerald. The NBA champion, who currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets, is set to start the 2022 NBA season, but he stopped by the podcast and talked a little football. Durant gave his top 5 quarterbacks of all time, as per his opinion.

He said that he, of course, had to put Brady on the list, more so since he was right there. Durant then went on to say that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would be in his top three along with Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.

"Can I get my top 5? I'm not gonna put in an order quarterbacks all time. I got, of course, Tom's in there. The other 12 and Aaron Rogers. I'll go Marino. Oh, three. My third Peyton. Great. This is tough. This right here, Joe? Oh, yeah, I'm trapped by Joe. Yeah, I should have said Joe first. But Joe's in there. Yeah, that's my top 5. Good group."

This isn't the first time that Kevin Durant has shown his appreciation for Aaron Rodgers. Just a few weeks ago, the NBA All-Star tweeted about the four-time NFL MVP after he led his team to a game-winning drive in overtime against the New England Patriots.

"Good sh*t 12"
Good shit 12..

Will the Green Bay Packers trade for a WR to help Aaron Rodgers?

The Green Bay Packers offense and Aaron Rodgers have struggled so far this season. After a Week 1 loss, they bounced back and won three straight. But now, with back-to-back losses to the New York Giants and the New York Jets, it's clear that the offense isn't in sync.

That could be due to the fact that they are without a true number one receiver as they had with Davante Adams. Or another veteran wide receiver in Marques Valdes-Scantling.

With the trade deadline approaching on November 1, 2022, the Green Bay Packers could be poised to make a move. And, if they do, it could and should be for a wide receiver.

ESPN NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler is reporting that the Packers are indeed looking for a wide receiver and Pittsburgh Steelers' Chase Claypool may be a possible target.

“A few general managers I’ve spoken to are certain Green Bay is looking for potential receiver help on the trade market,” — @JFowlerESPN who suggests Chase Claypool as a potential target.

Fowler has been saying since before the draft, a Claypool trade is in play for PIT.

The Carolina Panthers traded wide receiver Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals and Claypool may be next. The Steelers wide receiving core is quite stacked at the moment and if they were to part ways, it may be with the third-year receiver out of Notre Dame.
