Is DeAndre Hopkins single? Titans WR clarifies relationship status with BreAnna Young
Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has kept details of his personal life confidential as he focuses on his NFL career. This week though, Hopkins addressed his relationship status.
The Tennessee Titans wideout WR to a post that referred to BreAnna Young as his girlfriend. He reshared the post on X and revealed that he actually has been single for quite some time now:
"Been single for 2 years @SportsLab18."
Hopkins' revelation about his relationship status comes after a story about Young and her son was published, and she was referred to as his girlfriend. Young took her son to visit a nursing home to emphasize important life lessons. The couple went official with their relationship in 2021, but according to the wide receiver's social media post, they broke up sometime in 2022.
Could DeAndre Hopkins be on the trade block?
Hopkins and the Tennessee Titans haven't gotten off to the start that they may have hoped. The Titans are 0-3, and quarterback Will Levis continues to struggle with turning the ball over. If this team continues to struggle as the trade deadline approaches mid-season, one ESPN reporter believes Hopkins could be on the trade block.
On Wednesday, ESPN's Dan Graziano reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers still have interest in adding a top-tier wide receiver. Pittsburgh attempted to trade for San Francisco's Brandon Aiyuk before he decided to stay with the 49ers.
The Steelers are 3-0, but the wide receiver position is still a weak spot in the offense.
“Tennessee’s DeAndre Hopkins and Jacksonville’s Christian Kirk are two veterans who could conceivably become available and might be appealing to the Steelers if their teams continue to lose and fall out of the playoff race," ESPN's Dan Graziano reported.
Hopkins signed with the Tennessee Titans on a two-year deal in July 2023 worth $26 million. While there is an option for Hopkins to stay with the Tennessee Titans in 2025, he is more likely to become an unrestricted free agent. If the Titans are unsure if they can keep Hopkins next season, they may decide to trade him this season and get a return to help them build their roster.
For now, it's just a waiting game to see if any moves will be made. The trade deadline for the 2024 NFL season is Nov. 5, 2024.
