Is Eli Manning a Taylor Swift fan? Giants legend taken aback by ticketing crisis for pop icon's tour
Concert tickets, be it Taylor Swift or BTS, are never easy to get your hands on.
Ticketing has become a grueling process over the years, with fans losing out in minutes. Even New York Giants legend Eli Manning, easily one of the most popular NFL players, had trouble getting tickets for Swift's tour.
As far as Eli Manning is concerned, he is just like any other Swiftie out there.
While talking to PEOPLE, Manning stated how he was just like everybody else. After all, getting tickets on Ticketmaster for someone as popular as Swift can never be easy. Especially if you are trying to book one like a regular fan.
In fact, while on "The Eli Manning Show," Manning told Michael B. Jordan that he would love to have Swift on the show. Furthermore, even his daughters Ava, Lucy and Caroline seem to be Swift fans.
Manning even addressed Ticketmaster and how Taylor Swift fans ended up filing a lawsuit against the company.
"We've been to a couple of her concerts over the years and we're trying to get to the one at MetLife this year in New York," Manning said. "The ticket situation has been hard for everybody."
He added:
"It's the ticket. That was my one duty from my wife."
However, the website crashed and left everyone in a panic.
Eli Manning's connections finally got him Taylor Swift tickets
While Manning did struggle with Ticketmaster, he is certainly a man with connections. As per the 42-year-old, some of these helped him score tickets.
"Luckily, I have a few connections at MetLife and since we play our games there, I was able to secure some, I think."
Manning, who retired three years ago, was back at the MetLife Stadium earlier this week. This time, he was out there to recreate his one-handed catch with Jordan. The original catch, of course, was with WR Odell Beckham Jr.
Jordan, who has been a fan for years, couldn't contain his excitement as he spent time with Manning.
