Is Tom Brady mulling a comeback? NFL insider reveals two reasons why iconic QB could make sensational return

Could Tom Brady play in 2023? The future Hall-of-Fame quarterback, who has spent 23 seasons in the NFL, retired on February 1st, 2023, shortly after the Buccaneers' season concluded.

He took to Twitter to announce the news in a minute-long video.

Truly grateful on this day. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️ https://t.co/j2s2sezvSS

While Brady seems set to begin life after football, NFL insider Ben Volin suggests Brady could come back in 2024.

He thinks that because Brady isn't going to start his broadcasting gig until 2024 and since he opted not to sign a new contract with the Bucs, lowering his $35 million hit brings up the possibility of him returning.

Tom Brady could be leaving his options open to return to football in 2023, says @BenVolin

He suggests this due to Brady not broadcasting until 2024 and opting not to sign a new contract w/ Tampa Bay to lower his $35M cap hit, which makes him a free agent in March https://t.co/YGJ4UhE99O

He signed a 10-year $375 million to step into the booth and work with the company.

Tom Brady signed the contract on May 10, 2022, but he can enter the booth whenever he wants.

Following his retirement this offseason, Brady stated that he would begin his broadcasting career in the fall of 2024. He wants to take this year off and enjoy retirement and study how to become a good broadcaster.
