Cowboys fans worried as Dak Prescott spotted in walking boot - "It's so over" "This is definitely concerning"

The Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott might be in trouble. The Cowboys quarterback was spotted on Wednesday in a walking boot in Cabo San Lucas, and it has gone viral.

On Thursday, Cowboys reporter Calvin Watkins reported that Prescott is wearing a medical boot after he sprained his foot. It is unclear when or how Prescott suffered the injury, but it comes at a critical time as Prescott is looking for a contract extension.

Of course, seeing the Cowboys QB injured should draw some attention. Fans all over social media were concerned upon seeing the image of Prescott in the boot.

Here's how some fans reacted on X:

"Never wanna see anyone hurt, but can't help the feeling Dallas is gonna be a train wreck this year," one person said.
"If Jerrah Jones had any sense..he would let Prescott go," one fan said.
"Cowboys going 9-8," one fan said.

The Cowboys begin training camp on July 25, and it is unclear if Prescott will participate.

Prescott played all of last season but missed five games during the 2022 season. He's been critical to their success, and the team is confident with him as their quarterback.

Here's what more concerned fans had to say about Prescott being spotted in a boot:

"Should have made Cooper Rush QB1," one fan wrote.
"Cowboys going .500 now, always something with those guys," one fan wrote.
"There goes the wildcard round loss," one person said.

Since entering the NFL in 2016, Dak Prescott has had six injuries, many of which have been minor.

Late during the 2019 season, he suffered a minor shoulder injury against the LA Rams but returned the following week.

Prescott's most notable injury came the following season. In Week 5 against the New York Giants, he fractured and dislocated his ankle, which made him miss the remainder of the campaign.

In the 2021 offseason, Prescott had a right shoulder strain that sidelined him for some of the team's training camp. In the same season, he had a calf strain in the team's Week 6 win against the New England Patriots.

In Dallas' season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022, Prescott suffered a finger injury in the fourth quarter. He missed the next five games with a thumb fracture, before returning in Week 7.

Last season, Prescott was healthy and played in every game for the Cowboys. This is why the foot injury happening at this time of the year is concerning.

Prescott's current health status could be why he and the Cowboys haven't agreed to a long-term deal yet. Maybe they're worried about his long-term health with the sudden injury.
