Joy Taylor puts Dolphins on blast amid fresh Tua Tagovailoa concussion controversy - “It’s unspeakable, the things that could go wrong”
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion injury during the game against the Green Bay Packers. He entered concussion protocols after the game, as nobody was able to spot his injury during the course of the game.
This was a concerning factor for everyone as Tagovailoa has suffered head injuries thrice this season. He missed a couple of games due to concussion protocols and is expected to miss the Dolphins' next game as well.
Joy Taylor is very concerned about the well-being of the player as she thinks these head injuries can have a huge impact on a person's life.
Here's what she said on SPEAK:
"You can't risk the his entire future when this is something that is consistently happening. Who wants to be the person to to clear him because if it's up to him, you have to imagine he still wants to play."
Taylor continued:
"But you talk about this all the time protecting players from themselves. This is not a knee injury. This is not an elbow, which you're back which could keep you from living a full healthy life after football in some ways."
She added:
"But this is your head. It's it's unspeakable the things that could go wrong if you continue to risk this and now this is something that's happening at a very consistent basis three times and three months is very serious."
Tua Tagovailoa started the season quite well with the Miami Dolphins and was an MVP candidate at one point. However, since getting hurt, his numbers have taken a sort of nosedive.
He threw three interceptions during the game against the Green Bay Packers. Many believe that the hit he took that caused the concussion might be the reason for it.
Tua Tagovailoa's absence could derail the Dolphins
Tua Tagovailoa is likely to miss the Week 17's game against the New England Patriots. The Dolphins are already on a four-game losing streak and could potentially miss the playoffs.
If he isn't back for the team this season, it will be hard to see them making it to the playoffs. The health of the Dolphins' quarterback is the utmost priority, which is why it is possible he might get shut down for the season.
For a team that began the season 8-3, potentially missing the playoffs will be a major disappointment.
