"Jackass" star Steve-O reveals why he picked 'good-looking' Joe Burrow, Bengals to follow in 2024

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow apparently gained another fan this past offseason. Comedian and actor Steve-O is currently on his "Super Dummy Tour" and will entertain fans with his stand-up show in Cincinnati, Ohio, soon.

Recently, the "Jackass" star spoke to the Cincinnati Inquirer's David Wysong and said that he is a fan of the Bengals. Steve-O claimed that every year he chooses a different NFL team to support and that this season he chose the Bengals.

"I tend to pick a different football team in the NFL every season to root for, and this year I picked the Cincinnati Bengals," Steve-O said

Steve-O went on to say that he met Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and defensive end Sam Hubbard at the UFC 299 in Miami, Florida (March 2024). When he revealed that he didn't have a football allegiance, he promised Burrow and Hubbard he would support their Cincinnati Bengals in the 2024 NFL season.

"We all just were getting along and having a laugh. They said, 'Who's your team?' And I told them I just kind of pick a different team every year. And they were like, 'What's up?' I promised them, I said, 'Dude, I hereby pick the Bengals to root for this coming season.'
"It's meaningful for me to be honoring my word in that respect," he recalled after his conversation with Joe Burrow and Sam Hubbard

Steve-O then went on to joke that he views Joe Burrow as a 'good-looking' guy.

"He's a good-looking guy. I don't know what it is with quarterbacks and them kind of tending to be attractive.
"Maybe it's being an attractive person contributes to confidence, and then confidence contributes to excellence. I think that there's some kind of correlation," Steve-O said of the Bengals quarterback.

Steve-O will have to keep showing support for his newfound fandom. The Cincinnati Bengals are 3-4 after the first seven weeks after a slow start to the season.

Joe Burrow said each matchup is 'critical' moving forward

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals have yet to win a game at Paycor Stadium this season. The Bengals are 0-3 at their home stadium and as they attempt to inch closer to a .500 record, a win at home is necessary at this point.

Quarterback Joe Burrow told reporters on Wednesday that every game is critical. He said that he knows the narrative around their lackluster performance at home is something that will continue to be talked about moving forward.

"We're going to talk about this every week from here on out now, because of how we started, but every week is so critical at this point. We have to get another win,” Burrow said ahead of the Week 8 matchup.

If Cincinnati is going to find a win at home, this week would be a big one as they host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon.
